It's Fri-DAY

Spring has well and truly come to London, For those of you that live in New Zealand spring is when it is sunny but a bit chilly in the shade. England has a whole four seasons. Unlike Auckland that has two seasons, humid and rain.

Anyway I have been out in the park most lunch times soaking up the sun and have dug the facial sunscreen out of my drawer and have been slathering it on to in an attempt to spare me from wrinkles.

And have resumed my walking to work, I walk through Hyde Park it takes me about 1 hour to et there and 45 minutes to get back. Because I am so keen to get home and obviously not as keen to get to work.

Had a bbq tonight and am off for a tea party tomorrow so I have made my famous chocolate cake, the stuff of urban legend. Only now I feel the pressure to make a wicked chocolate cake so I am sure it will taste yucky this time.

And then tomorrow Jamie comes home and FYI while he has been away I have been keeping the bedroom very tidy. I told him when he rang and he was livid. I said ‘see it proves I am tidier than you’ (anyone who know us knows this is a lie) but then he said I was being tidy just to spite him. Which I am not (okay I am) but it’s easier to be tidy when you don’t have boys stuff to make your room smell funny.

And then on Sunday am dog-sitting a friends dog and it is my and Jamie’s ten year anniversary, so we are out to dinner for some “romance” and the back to work on Monday. Ohh the excitement. Will post some more pictures later this week, Jamie has kidnapped the camera to Japan.

Pictures of the fake tan to follow I promise.

Hero of the week

While walking through sunny Regents park today, I had a flash of hung over brilliance and decided that I would add a new section to my Blog. Entitled you guessed it Hero of the week. This weeks its Al gore because, well you will have to read the new section to find out why. Ahh I am cunning. Don’t worry sometimes they will be a superficial.

Also Jamie has gone to Tokyo this week for work so I am ‘all by my self’ for a week. When he left this morning his final words to me were to remind me that there is food in the fridge and I could make lots of dinners and to do some food shopping for next week. I rolled my eyes, who does he think I am? a first year uni student? And who does he think he is? My mother? Anyway I am off out tonight for dinner with friends. while the cats away the mouse will play.

I am Dontella Versace

I have just had a St Tropez spray tan (the same brand that Vikki Beckham uses FYI) I had to stand naked except for a disposable g-string (which did not cover much) and was covered in brown sticky stuff and now I am at home waiting to turn a darker shade of pale.
I asked her to do it extra dark, so I can freak the girls at work out.
Then is another company that you can choose your shade of tan, there are ten shades and they have even sparyed albinos! I asked if the albino in question had red eye, she said she didn't know.

This is the colour I will be. ala vikki beckham.

God bless Easter

So as you may know I am not a religious person, but I love God for Easter four days of no work with sunshine and sleep ins.
Thank God Jesus came back from the dead, not that I believe that. I think he was probably a nice guy preaching love and forgiveness but did he rise from the Dead? I don’t think so. It’s impossible. But he might have gone into a coma and then woken up in a tomb, freaked out banged on the door and was like ‘Dudes let me out.’ And they were like ‘Shit Jesus is still alive.’ And then they opened the door and there he was. And he said ‘Could you have checked my pulse, my heartbeat, held a mirror in front of my mouth?, these are all really basic things dudes.’ And they said sorry and then the profession of undertaker was born.
God bless Easter.

Authenticty questioned

For those of you that asked, the homosexual memorial at the concentration camp IS REAL.

http://dreaandyoutogether.blogspot.com/2007/02/ich-bin-eine-berliner.html

Why would I make this photo up and How could I? Am I an iron forger. Nope. would I stage such a picture, Nope, its not funny, I love the gays! So yes they did have a memorial for the homosexuals at the concentration camp. I think it was put after the communists left, not sure if being gay is okay with communists.

Our house and Wednesday night

So you can get a picture in your head of where I live here are some pictures of our house. I took them last night and in retrospect they aren't very revealing, but you can tell that the colour of the walls is Magnolia. Our bathroom, yes we have lots of stuff on the shelf and need to buy a bathroom cabinet but haven't got around to it just yet. The shower curtain is from Ikea and there is no lock on the door. In case you ever come to visit.
Our bedroom, complete with Jamie making the bed.

The lounge, with our poster of the first movie me and Jamie saw together. Its called Vertigo by Alfred Hitchcock, wouldn't recommend it, its quite long and quite confusing. But I am open to hear views on why it is Hitchcock's finest work.
The boys are playing poker in the living room so I am banished to the bedroom in a self imposed time-out. I am a bit bored and I have only been in here 7 minutes. And my bedroom is tidy, for once, so I can't clean that. Maybe I can read a book. But I want to watch the television. The Apprentice is on tonight. I love it. Here is the link to the website http://www.bbc.co.uk/apprentice/. Sir Alan sugar, the man who founded AMSTRAD is a legend and in a weird way kind of sexy.
Have also just got back from the gym after having a swim. I am having major problems with my back at the moment. I know not why. Usually my back is quite good. But I have 'ahlot ov tenshion' so says the Chinese masseuse I went to the other day, so am doing yoga and swimming and trying to improve my posture so i have less knots.
We are having a BBQ this long weekend because the weather is meant to be really nice abut 20 degrees and sunny. I'll put some pictures up later. I have to go to the toilet. Right I am back and that just used up 2 minutes of my exile time. This must be what prison is like stuck in one room with only a book and the toilet to amuse you. No wonder there are so many fights.
Jamie and I are thinking about buying a flat over here so on Saturday we are going to do some scouting around and see what we can find.
that's all we have planned for the weekend and lots of sleeping in and sitting on the patio with beer. Hope you all have lovely Easters and the Easter bunny brings you some chocolate or some nuts and raisin's (yes one year I did get Nuts and Raisins , it was more than disappointing, it wasn't even ETA brand it was a pick'n'mix!).
peace out xxx
