Our first bbq

Below are a few pictures of our first bbq on our deck, In April, In Easter. We are truly blessed with the weather. Or dammed with Global warming depending on which way you look at it.
The boys playing football, they were very excited to play and very excited to tell us exactly what happened in the game. We were not so excited to hear about it.
The girls relaxing on the deck.

you will notice..

That my blog has changed! yes it looks like Barbie has spewed up all over the internet. Long may it last.

injured agin

I have tendonitis again! It means my ankle has turned into a cankle (a cankle is when your ankles are so fat they run up and meet your calf) and I can’t really walk. I need a wheel chair, a motorised one, like Stephen Hawkin. Except pimped out with some alloys.

We are having hamburgers for dinner tonight. With marks and Spencer’s hamburger mayonnaise, it like McDonalds big Mac dressing but better.

I also can’t run at the gym so now my weight loss plan has been put on the back burner again! The mayonnaise probably isn’t helping either.

The life plan begins to take hold

So a quick addition of ‘THE LIFE PLAN’ means that in approximately 18 months, after The wedding and a bit of newly wed time, Jamie and I will be trying to pro-create. (calm down pat and johann, it’s not set in stone yet)

Anyway so this effectively gives me 12 months of good times, e.g. getting a bit drunk having a laugh and not worrying about getting home in time for the babysitter. So oh my god 12 months and then I am forever tied to the shackles of children.

In celebration and commiseration of this, the next 12 months will be wild times, I am telling you now. So as I am starting as I mean to go on here are a couple of photos of the our girls night last Friday, where we danced to classic tunes and, well I can’t remember what else happened.

Seriously I can’t, don’t ask me, even looking at the photos doesn't even jog my memory. Here are the photos, love me, love me drunk I say.

Night Fever, Andrea style, with Zoe also making some shapes on the dance floor.
This is probably where the trouble started, two drinks in my hands both of which I am sure went down my throat.
Everyone posing, me obviously not, and smiling.

ps. I can remember one thing, I lost my shoe and retrieved it by crawling underneath the stage. Good times.

It's Fri-DAY

Spring has well and truly come to London, For those of you that live in New Zealand spring is when it is sunny but a bit chilly in the shade. England has a whole four seasons. Unlike Auckland that has two seasons, humid and rain.

Anyway I have been out in the park most lunch times soaking up the sun and have dug the facial sunscreen out of my drawer and have been slathering it on to in an attempt to spare me from wrinkles.

And have resumed my walking to work, I walk through Hyde Park it takes me about 1 hour to et there and 45 minutes to get back. Because I am so keen to get home and obviously not as keen to get to work.

Had a bbq tonight and am off for a tea party tomorrow so I have made my famous chocolate cake, the stuff of urban legend. Only now I feel the pressure to make a wicked chocolate cake so I am sure it will taste yucky this time.

And then tomorrow Jamie comes home and FYI while he has been away I have been keeping the bedroom very tidy. I told him when he rang and he was livid. I said ‘see it proves I am tidier than you’ (anyone who know us knows this is a lie) but then he said I was being tidy just to spite him. Which I am not (okay I am) but it’s easier to be tidy when you don’t have boys stuff to make your room smell funny.

And then on Sunday am dog-sitting a friends dog and it is my and Jamie’s ten year anniversary, so we are out to dinner for some “romance” and the back to work on Monday. Ohh the excitement. Will post some more pictures later this week, Jamie has kidnapped the camera to Japan.

Pictures of the fake tan to follow I promise.

Hero of the week

While walking through sunny Regents park today, I had a flash of hung over brilliance and decided that I would add a new section to my Blog. Entitled you guessed it Hero of the week. This weeks its Al gore because, well you will have to read the new section to find out why. Ahh I am cunning. Don’t worry sometimes they will be a superficial.

Also Jamie has gone to Tokyo this week for work so I am ‘all by my self’ for a week. When he left this morning his final words to me were to remind me that there is food in the fridge and I could make lots of dinners and to do some food shopping for next week. I rolled my eyes, who does he think I am? a first year uni student? And who does he think he is? My mother? Anyway I am off out tonight for dinner with friends. while the cats away the mouse will play.
