New addition

Today after a yummy breakfast of mushrooms on toast and trying on wedding rings we went to get a gold fish.

His name is Murray Wohlmuther-Bennett and I love him. So far he has eaten some pond weed and rubbed his nose in the sand, and we have only had him for 2 hours, imagine what adventures he will have in a week?, a month even.

He is getting used to his home and below is a picture of him.

Murray in all his glory.

rugby and fisch

More posts, see I am a lady of my word

A couple of Saturdays ago we all gathered at our flat to watch the first rugby game and then we took some team photos. And we ate snacks and drank beer apart from Jamie who was very hungover so he had sprite instead.

Here we are representing our team and being serious.
In this one we were being funny, see we are krazy kiwis. Watch out London.

If you can name all the people in the photo you get a prize!

Bring on the rest of the world cup, although I find pool games a bit boring. And please win All Blacks other wise Jamie will be in a bad mood forever.
Also we are getting a pet on Saturday, not a dog because Jamie is mean but a goldfish!
Jamie is worried it is too much responsibility. I said I think we could probably handle it.

viva sardinia

So we are back from Sardinia and tanned yippee and relaxed, even work can’t break my holiday spell.
Sardinia is close to Africa as Jamie pointed out so it was hot but not too hot, not lose all the contents of your bowls in one motion (ala Athens 2006)

We arrived very late on Tuesday night, picked up our tiny hire car and had to navigate in the dark a bit like the amazing race. So those of you that don’t know the amazing race it is one of my all time favourite TV shows and the basic premise is 12 couple racing around the world solving riddles, bungee jumping and having fights while trying to navigate to various locations around the world. And there is $1 million dollar prize money and there is always one couple who say “if we win this race we will have the wedding of the dreams, if we lose we will break up and never see each other again” and predictably they lose and everyone rejoices. And I always want to enter the amazing race with Jamie and Tuesday night after 15 minutes of being in car with him, navigating a foreign land I knew we couldn’t survive a three legged race let alone an amazing one.

But we arrived at the apartment and the bed was uncomfortable and I was allergic to it so I had to make an emergency trip to the pharmacy for some anti-histamines and they didn’t work so Jamie and I fashioned our own bed in the spare room. And then Jamie sleep talked. Ha it was funny he said ‘the beds should be the same, the beds should be the same.’ And he woke me up which I was not happy about but then I was able to take the mickey out of him for three whole days so it was worth it.

We ate a lot of seafood spoke very bad Italian and drank wine and beer and went to the beach. Where we bought two bats and a ball and had a whale of a time hitting the ball to each other and when we were feeling cheeky at each other.

Ohh I just saw a picture of Daniel craig on the television he is hot.

Anyway back to Sardinia we ate lots of food and now I am on the pre-wedding diet to get rid of the spare tyre and Jamie is on a diet too, although right now he is on a boat on the river Thames getting boozed.

Below photo highlights from our summer holiday.

Next holiday not until march, de-press-ing.

Jamie (tanned)
Our hire car- the smallest car in the world. Shown here in actual size.
We drove around for an hour looking for the rocco de elefante (this translates to a rock shaped like a stupid elephant) and found it. I was disappointed Jamie was ecstatic.
See we did cultural stuff too, we went to some churches, well one church there was no where to swim and it was hot so we went to the beach.
Ahh the serenity…
It is a train? Not it’s a car type thing which will not slow down if you get in it’s way. You have been warned.
Andrea and some mussels, this was my fourth portion of mussels in three days. I am a legend.

Does this need any explanation?

So there we have post and photos more pictures of the flat to follow but I have had a shit day at work and the house is a total mess and the TV is broken and I am in mourning because Jose has left Chelsea and therefore London and now I am never going to meet him, So I am having a glass of wine to calm myself down. Also I have toothache. Sometimes life is so hard.

I’m sorry I still love you

It’s been along long time and I am sorry. So here’s why I haven’t posted.

Well first I moved house and almost had a nervous breakdown.
Then I had to tidy the flat and wait for about 20 days to get stuff delivered/installed and deal with tradesmen with serious body odor issues.
and then it was the only sunny weekend we have had all summer so of course I went out and got a tan and then my laptop broke ( I may have broke it but Jamie made it worse) so now I have to use Jamie’s (which as you may know he hates me touching his computer, it is only to be used strictly for making music-ONLY, he has even offered to buy me a new laptop even though we don’t have a pot to piss in. this is how much he loves his computer and hates me using it) anyway and now it is almost a month later and no blog update. Sorry, my sincere apologies.
I am crap. Update this week with pictures. Our last digital camera had beer spilled on it and we had to buy a new one.
So pictures of flat and Sardinia to come.
Also I am brown now you will be pleased to know.
You will also be pleased to know I am on the pre-wedding diet so lots of posts about food obsession coming up you lucky buggers.
Will also post picture of Jamie’s laptop so you can see the object of his affection. That’s the laptop by the way, not me.

Lock and Loaded

So we had new locks fitted today. Because our old look was flimsy and we live in London so are constant under siege from people who want to steal our stuff. So we went from an old Yale lock to a pimped out mac daddy shiny new cooper lock. (Will attach picture later it is truly a masterpiece of engineering.)

Anyway I made the error of arranging the appointment when Jamie wasn’t at home. Which essentially meant when the boys gave me instructions on how to use the lock I had to remember it all by myself. The first time they explained I listened for about 30 seconds and then I started to think about what I was wearing on Saturday and realised far too late that he had finished explaining stuff and I hadn’t heard a word. So I asked him to explain again and then realised why I had tuned out the first time, because it was too complicated and I couldn’t understand it. And then I asked him to go through it a third time and he said ‘don’t worry all the instructions are in the leaflet.’ Hmm so I read the leaflet and it is two paragraphs long and that is just how to open the door, which includes the following ‘turn the lock a quarter in the outside cylinder and rotate to the stop (which way you fools, surely this is key in opening a lock instructions!) move the door in the opening direction whilst holding the bolt in the withdrawn position with the key until the bolt projects…’ Holy shit I think I am spending a night in the rain, seriously a NASA scientist could not open this door.

So before I left today I was very careful with the lock and that’s right you guessed I locked myself in and couldn’t get out of my own house. Had a mild panic and had to ring the shop to get them to explain the lock to me, they were very amused. I was not. God knows how I am going to get inside tonight. Wish me luck.

sore drea

i have dislocated my shoulder. it is so sore. i am writing with my one handed left handed typing. it hurts. x-ray says no permanent damage but i am wearing my sling and look like a 1950's first aid dummy. and today it was my friend lucy's birthday so went to MacDonald's and i got ketchup on it, so now it looks like a chav sling. and the she asked me to carry her balloon back to the office. which i did, the balloon and sling attracted some strange looks.
have to go now and whimper with pain.

xxxx
the cause of the injury was a touch rugby collison with Mike Opie, the big bully.
am also very drowsy from pain medication hence the apalling punctuation above.

new things

So before I was stressed and angry and now Jamie has found a cracking deal on the internet. We have bought a new TV for half the price of it’s retail value. Funny how a nice new TV can snap me out of a bad mood with Jamie. I am truly excited about the television. It was the highlight of my weekend, apart from the sun. Sun and TV that’s all it takes to make me happy.

Ps also thanks to Johann for his generous financial donation which has allowed us such luxury.

pps also work started on the bathroom this morning and met the plumber he was polish and nice. Although he drives a brand new BMW, this makes me a little bit suspious, just can't put my finger on why. hmmmm.
