Please help me

Right so in order to run a half marathon around some of the most beautiful parts of London we have a goal to raise money for charity. So please dig deep and give a few pounds or dollars to help out this great charity who work with children effected by Aids in Africa. It’s a great charity, how could you not want to help them?

In the comments section of the fundraising page guess how long it will take me to complete the run and the closet time gets a bottle of Champagne. As a guide our aim is 2 hours and 30 minutes. Don't forget to include seconds as well!

Also if you are not charity minded please give a bit in support of the biggest athletic challenge of my life. I am a bit nervous about it so need all the support I can get.

I have checked and there is a sweep up vehicle which drives around the course three hours after to start to pick up the stragglers. Hopefully that is not me! But I can’t be sure.

And yes you can donate from NZ thus is the beauty of credit cards.

Here's the link

Celebrations!

My sister has just produced a lovely 8 pound boy two hours ago.

After trying to push he didn’t want to move into the right postion she had a caesarean. Typical Wohlmuther/Mackay baby never doing what it’s told. And when I spoke to her she sounded tired but her usalu practical self.

And I am going to vegas on Wendesday sometimes God sends you more joy than you can handle.

new arrival keeps us waiting

My sisters’ baby was due on Monday and it hasn’t come and I am bored of waiting and checking my phone. Every time I get a text I think it is her telling me stuff has started. But as of today no movement down under.

Please come little baby we are all waiting for you.

Also my sister has chosen not to find out the sex, frustrating!

Forgot

Oh and another thing. I love your comments. Keep them coming!

And spread the blog word to anyone you think might be interested. I realise this may only be one person or in most cases no people. But I am going to try to reach 3000 visitors by the end of November. It's a goal and I am going for it.

xxxx

Milestones ...

I have nearly had 2000 visitors and I have been going for 2 years so with some quick calculations you can see that is 2.7 visitors per day. As Johann would say Wow! Thanks for visiting dudes. (In truth some of those visitors are me and I know people check back often to see for updates.) But still impressive that so many people want to see what I have been up to.

What have I been up to? Nothing actually just getting angry at the weather and at work. In that order of importance.

My sister is almost ready to pop, 4 days away from her due date and I am excited and we don’t even know what sex it is yet. I keep checking my phone to see if I have had a text . But nothing. And then today my phone ran out of battery so now I have to wait to go home before I can see if there is any news.

On a more administration front I have been busy changing my name from Wohlmuther to Bennett. God it is a drama. I have had to write about 800 letters to 800 different companies and send off copies of the marriage certificate to random people and Jamie ripped our marriage certificate on our wedding day and it’s all crumpled. Shows how much respect he has for our marriage.

And now my next step is to get new passports. Which will of course include paying about £150 for the privilege and the dreaded passport photo. I better get one soon before I pile the weight back on. Oh and also I have to trek to the Austrian embassy where they will soon find out that I can’t speak a word of German and then they stare at me and I am always afraid they will demand my passport back. And I can’t call them because they only speak German on the phone so I have to take time off work and go into the embassy and when I say embassy I mean a house in a street in Knightsbridge with a flag outside.

Also am nervous about doing my signature and always forget my new name and say Wohlmuther. And also Mrs Bennett makes me sound a)very old and b)like something from a Jane Austen book which makes me sound even older.

Shit and soon I will be an Auntie, retirement is just around the corner.

Have you ever?

Have you ever had a zit so bad you put a plaster on it and pretended that you have injured your face? I have, twice. You can only really get away with it once per country so I have done it in Auckland and in London. In London I upped my game and got some surgical gauze and tape and taped it over my zit.

There are a couple of problems which you will encounter which you first have to think through. First you have to think of a believable back story to why you have injured your face. And remember people very rarely injure their face. My favourite story is I walked into a door. Because people laugh at ‘that old line’ and also think about it you can walk into a door if you are un-coordinated like me. I like to add in, there was a nail sticking out, walked into a sharp bit something like that and it cut my face.

Secondly you need to correctly ascertain the severity of the zit, e.g. will it be bad for 4 days to a week? If it will cover it up, any less than that and people will know it’s just a zit, removing the dressing is key when you go back in public with your zit on show remember there most be some redness/scarring left and also there must be no puss. Puss it s dead giveaway.

Twice I have done this and it worked a treat I can’t do it again until I move country, it only works once, people soon become wise.

The point of all this is that I have already pulled this trick in London and I have a massive zit on my chin, I have effectively grown another chin, and no I haven’t picked it. It really needs the plaster walked into the door treatment, but I can’t do it again. The severity of the zit is such it calls for a relocation of some sort. Maybe New York? Or even better Saudi Arabia, then I could cover my face with a Burka! Now I am thinking.

De ja vu

Argh I am sick again! Headache, sore throat, mild fever and sneezing. Seriously I need to get over myself and get better, plus I take about 18 vitamins a day so I don’t know why I am sick and it’s annoying even though I am home from work I can’t watch TV and read because of the headache so I am lying on the couch feeling sorry for myself and uploading wedding pictures to the internet.

It’s boring and I am sick. I better be well by tomorrow because I was meant to go to the gym today but couldn’t because of the sickness so I have to go tomorrow. Also I have been sick four times since November. I think it same virus that just rears it’s ugly head when I get a bit too full of myself. Am off now to lie on the couch and quickly whimper and feel sorry for myself and wait for Jamie to get home from work. And then I’ll really ham it up.

Ps also have a big zit on my chin, it never rains it pours.

Wedding Mania

Also forgot to say when we were in New Zealand had the pleasure of going to friends Liz’s wedding. Below are some very very bad pictures taken on my camera by me. But you get the vibe the bride was beautiful, the groom was handsome and the ceremony was very moving, every one was crying even the celebrant. And me.
Congratulations to Liz and Kirk wishing you a lifetime and happiness and joy.
