Mackay is a joy at the moment spending all day playing and jumping around and he took his first steps on Sunday. But I will not bore you with stories of my extremely advanced, extremely cute child, (again today a stranger told me he was cute, it's exhausting trying to think of responses that don't make me sound like a smug git)
In baby and technology news Jamie bought a dv camera, this is a video camera I think but instead of video cassettes the footage is stored on dvd's ?or memory sticks? or memory cards? ah i don't know, anyway it takes videos and the other day I managed to record Mackay's first steps.
Which is amazing for two reasons, first I managed to work the camera and remember which button was record (Jamie watched the footage and then said 'Did you take some stills today? 'I said 'no' but apparently i had, I have no idea how) Anyway i got the video camera working and managed to record him at exactly the right moment, that never happens to me. I was actually trying to record him pooing as his poo face is hilarious but instead I captured perfect footage of Mackay walking for us to have forever, complete with a stupid voiceover courtesy of his mother. 'You're mummy's special boy, you're so clever, mummy loves you so much' Honestly, could I gush anymore? The voice overs are so embarrassing I am considering deleting them from the footage, well I would if I had any idea how to use the video camera, any idea at all.
